At Braven Music we cater to individual needs; no two students are taught in the same way (We do not use a programmed approach). We are young, friendly, innovative and want you to enjoy your lessons! We are very patient with beginners and can show advanced musicians missing elements that will bring their playing to a heightened level. note: we recommend that beginners under 8 years start with piano lessons.
We encourage our students to bring in music they want to learn (within their level of ability of course). This brings about a level of ownership in each student. When students are invested they are interested. Every student enjoys playing music they know and like, which is key in their desire to keep playing. Students simply learn faster...
We believe that students aren't the only ones who are learning. The instructors view everyday as a new learning experience, and when this is happening, it creates better more well-rounded instructors. Even our youngest student has something to teach our most experienced instructor.
A personal note from our head instructor:
Music can be beautiful yet elusive. It can never really be explained in terms that we can easily understand. The only thing we can personally tell you about music is that it releases us from the boredoms of life- We are never really alone. We always have music no matter what circumstances surround us. Music is simply vibration. It is much like us in our simplest form; our heartbeats and every single move we make personify music itself.
