What are the major differences between your speaker models?

All BRAVEN models include stunning audio clarity, speakerphone capability, and mobile phone charger functionality.

The sports version BRAVEN 625s has the same great sound quality as the 600, and comes in a shock resistant shell and includes a waterproof carry bag and a LED USB flashlight. The BRAVEN 600 and 650 come in Aircraft-grade Aluminum shell. The BRAVEN 650 includes even better audio quality by incorporating custom micro audio drivers and compression technology from aptX. What is Bluetooth?

Bluetooth is a wireless technology standard for safely exchanging data over short distances (up to 30 ft. line-of-sight). In the BRAVEN product, Bluetooth technology is used to transmit music/sound signals wirelessly from a Bluetooth enabled device to the BRAVEN speaker. Bluetooth is managed by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), which has more than 15,000 member companies and oversees the development of the technology.

 If I don’t have a Bluetooth compatible music player, can still use your BRAVEN speakers?

For devices that do not support Bluetooth, we include a 3.5mm “auxiliary cable” that can be connected between the BRAVEN speaker and the music player. BRAVEN speakers can therefore be used with music players that have a standard headphone jack.

Can I really charge my cell phone by plugging into the BRAVEN speaker? How?

The BRAVEN is designed to charge mobile devices that use a 1A adapter and can charge using a USB cable. To charge your cell phone, simply plug the USB end of your charging cable into the BRAVEN USB port and plug your phone into the other end. Once both ends are connected your phone will begin charging. The BRAVEN does not have to be plugged to an AC power outlet to charge another device, but it won’t charge unless BRAVEN’s battery has some charge and is in the "ON” position. 

Can the BRAVEN charge my tablet too?

BRAVEN speakers are NOT designed to charge a tablet or any other device requiring a higher powered (2A) USB connection. BRAVEN speakers are designed to efficiently charge mobile phones and other small portable devices that draw power from a 0.5A to 1A charge.

Can I listen to music on a BRAVEN speaker while it is being charged?

Yes. You can play music through the BRAVEN speaker while it charges.

Can I listen to music on a BRAVEN speaker while it’s charging my cell phone?

Absolutely.

If you use the 3.5mm jack to daisy-chain two speakers together does it channel separate the two?

Daisy-chaining does not channel separate between two speakers, it will simply add an additional speaker's volume to the overal output.

Is the BRAVEN speakerphone feature a true duplex microphone? Does it allow for conversations without clipping?

BRAVEN speakers feature a full duplex speakerphone, just like normal telephone applications. Braven licenses and utilizes proprietary software platforms based on Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology for enhancing the audio quality of our microphones. A modular suite of algorithms, including acoustic echo cancellation and noise suppression, is applied in the software and tuned to optimize BRAVEN’s speakerphone performance.

Can you use a BRAVEN with a computer in addition to mobile devices?

You can always connect a BRAVEN speaker to a computer using the included 3.5mm cable. Plug one end into the "IN" port of the BRAVEN, and the other end into the headphone jack of your computer. If your computer is Bluetooth enabled you can also connect wirelessly to the BRAVEN. Use your computer's Bluetooth settings to set up a new Bluetooth device. You may also need to select the BRAVEN as your computer's audio output device. Please note some computers will try to play through the speakerphone function instead of the speakers in the BRAVEN. You may need to adjust your computers settings to be sure the audio is playing through the correct channel in the speaker.
